I am writing to express deep concern about ICE policy and the broader collapse of leadership in today’s Republican Party.
What we are witnessing right now is not conservative governance. It is cruelty theater, culture-war cosplay, and political malpractice. The current administration is polling badly because people are done with performative toughness, manufactured outrage, and chaos masquerading as strength. Public trust is collapsing.
Abraham Lincoln said,
“In this age, in this country, public sentiment is everything. With it, nothing can fail; against it, nothing can succeed.”
Right now, public sentiment is turning against this administration and against Republicans who keep defending it.
ICE policy has become a symbol of unnecessary cruelty instead of real solutions. It is not making us safer. It is making us look inhumane, unserious, and unfit to govern.
Republicans used to talk about responsibility, restraint, and the Constitution. Now it is grievance, theatrics, and blind loyalty to bad leadership. That is not conservative. That is corrosive.
So here is the question every one of you needs to answer:
Are you going to keep defending an administration that is losing public support and moral credibility, or are you going to represent your constituents instead of shielding incompetence?
History is not kind to leaders who chose cowardice over conscience.
I expect a response.
