Focus on real issues, not the NFL or the Bears
To: Gov. Pritzker
From: A constituent in Chicago, IL
June 23
Dear Illinois Legislators, I am writing to express my opposition to allowing the Bears to continue to hold the city and state hostage over their need for a stadium. The Bears are part of a multi BILLION dollar franchise that does not deserve any additional resources from the state. The Bears organization should be fully responsible for their own builds, maintenance and development for any stadium. The average tax payer has more pressing concerns like the facist president, the lack of health care, job insecurity and unemployment. We live in a time where minimum wage needs to be increased, where healthcare needs to be socialized, where real issues need to be addressed. What we need is more attention on those subjects and not the Bears. Stop letting the organization run wild around you just because you want to keep them in Chicago. If the Bears want to leave, they can go. What we need to do is TAX THE RICH. Tax homeowners with additional homes in the city like New York is doing. Tax companies who take work away and want AI to replace humans. Fight against tech data centers that is killing our environment. The Bears are nothing in comparison to human beings. Do the right thing. Focus on the right thing.
