Stop Noem and Bovino from terrorizing innocent children Today, ICE agents detained a preschooler on his way home from school. His name is Liam. He just turned 5. Agents pulled him from the still-running car when he and his father arrived home from school. Then they marched him to his own front door and ordered him to knock -- using a preschooler as bait to see who else might be inside. Another adult living in the house was present outside. He begged to take care of the child, to keep him so Liam wouldn't end up in detention. The agents refused. And then they disappeared with Liam and his father. Twenty minutes later, Liam's older brother -- a seventh grader -- returned home to find his little brother and father missing. Taken. School officials struggled to contain their disbelief and grief at a press conference about Liam's detention. Zena Stenvik, the superintendent of Columbia Heights Public Schools, posed the question the Trump administration won't answer: "Why detain a 5-year-old? You cannot tell me that this child is going to be classified as a violent criminal."
