End the Economic Blockade on Cuba

To: Sen. Kim, Rep. Norcross, Sen. Booker

From: A constituent in Grenloch, NJ

April 17

I'm asking you to support ending the economic blockade on Cuba. This policy has failed for over six decades, and it's time to try a different approach. The blockade hurts ordinary Cuban families, not the government. It restricts access to food, medicine, and basic goods while doing nothing to advance democracy or human rights on the island. American farmers, manufacturers, and ports lose billions in potential trade every year because of these restrictions. Every other country in the world trades freely with Cuba. We're isolated on this issue, and it makes us look stuck in Cold War thinking. Lifting the blockade would open markets for American businesses, lower prices for Cuban consumers, and create opportunities for real cultural exchange. That's how you build relationships and influence, not through punishment that clearly hasn't worked. The Cuban people deserve better, and so do American workers who could benefit from normalized trade. Please take action to end this outdated policy.
