Vote yes on the joint resolutions of disapproval
To: Sen. Butler, Sen. Padilla
From: A constituent in San Francisco, CA
November 19
The United States is planning to authorize another $22.6 billion in arms sales to Israel, including weapons that have already killed tens of thousands of Palestinians and fueled a brutal siege starving children in Gaza. This massive transfer involves $18.8 billion for 50 F-15 fighter jets, $774 million for over 32,000 tank cartridges, $61 million for 50,000 high-explosive mortar cartridges, and $262 million for 6,500 Joint Direct Attack Munitions. Congress has the power to block these deadly weapons transfers by passing Joint Resolutions of Disapproval introduced by Senators Sanders, Welch, Merkley, and Schatz. Additional U.S. arms will only enable further violence and suffering. I urge you to support these Joint Resolutions to prevent American complicity in worsening this humanitarian crisis and devastating loss of life. The world has witnessed the horrors of this U.S.-supported genocide, and it is long past time to stop arming it.
