We need an immediate arms embargo against the Israeli state and military. There will be no ceasefire until the weapons shipments end. Every day this continues adds to the regional and global threats facing Israel. Neither Israeli Jews nor Jews in other countries are safer now than they were this time last year, due in large part to the ongoing Israeli violence against the men, women, and children of Gaza. Palestinians eat and laugh and cry the same way the rest of us do. They love their children the same as the rest of us. They bleed as red and mourn as deeply as the rest of us. Please, for the love of all things held sacred, too many innocents have lost their lives. Too many parents have lost children; too many children have lost their entire families. If you truly want a ceasefire as you claim, the weapons shipments to Israel must end.
