I am writing as a concerned constituent regarding the detention of journalist Don Lemon. If Mr. Lemon is being held for journalistic activity or commentary, this raises serious First Amendment concerns. A free press is essential to democracy and must be protected from intimidation or punishment for doing its job. Please make your voice heard and demand his release stating the protections of the First Amendment, especially in regard to the Fourth Estate. I urge you to publicly address this matter, demand transparency, and ensure that constitutional protections for the press are upheld without exception.
