Stop Trashing Our Justice System: Why Trump’s Admin Fails the 1776 Test

July 10
When America's Founders wrote the Declaration of Independence, they had a major problem with King George. He treated judges like his personal employees. The King made judges obey his wishes just to keep their jobs.
Today, the Trump administration is acting straight out of that old royal playbook. They act like the presidency is a pass to do whatever they want. But the Declaration of Independence is clear: The law is the boss, not the leader.
Look at how their platform copies the old king:
- King Rule #1: Demand Absolute Loyalty. The King expected judges to obey his personal whims. Today, this administration publicly attacks independent judges who rule against them, trying to destroy our trust in the courts.
- King Rule #2: Build a Personal Police Force. The Founders wanted neutral law enforcement. The Trump platform calls for stripping the Department of Justice of its independence so the President can personally run it—using federal agents to protect friends and target rivals.
- King Rule #3: Bend the Law for Friends. Just like King George, this administration expects the legal system to serve the ruler instead of the law. They demand personal allegiance from officials who swore an oath to the Constitution, not to one person.
We are a democracy, not a kingdom. The job of the president is to follow the laws, not to break them, bend them, or use them for personal revenge.
I demand that your administration immediately stop any efforts to strip our justice system of its independence. In America, the law is supreme. Nobody is above it—especially not the President.
