I write as an American citizen compelled to demand that you publicly denounce President Trump’s illegal bombing of Iran—an assault carried out without congressional approval—and call for his immediate impeachment.
The Constitution makes Congress the sole authority to declare war. Article I, Section 8 clearly states:
“The Congress shall have Power … To declare War, grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal, and make Rules concerning Captures on Land and Water.”
By unilaterally ordering strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, President Trump violated that explicit grant of power and egregiously violated the separation of powers.
This reckless act was not only unconstitutional—it has dramatically increased the risk of a wider, possibly global, conflict. Congress must act now.
Americans demand:
1. A public statement from your office condemning this unconstitutional bombing.
2. A formal call for immediate impeachment of President Trump.
3. A written reply confirming your position.
Our republic depends on your commitment to the rule of law and to protecting the American people from needless war.
