An Open Letter
To: Pres. Biden
From: A verified voter in Kansas City, MO
June 28
Dear President Biden,
It is obviously and painfully apparent that you are far too old for the general electorate to prefer you as President of the United States.
Your contest with Donald Trump should not be close, but it is. Last night, you were visibly and audibly aged out of the job. No one will trust you, not because you are malignant, but because you have the appearance of geriatric-related incompetence. Your degradation is apparent to the entire country, who knows that there will be four more years of decline if you are elected. You are not going to get better, but worse.
You are putting our country at risk. This is no ordinary election, but an election where we must choose democracy or authoritarianism. We must as a nation put our best candidate forward, and you very well know that you are not the the best candidate.
I am terrified.
For the sake of our country, please step down and let somebody else run for president.
(It's also not Kamala Harris, just to be certain. Pick somebody good whom everyone wants to elect. Seriously.)
Decline your nomination this summer, let the Democratic Party pick a new candidate, and let's preserve democracy this fall.
Thanks,
Rick Johnson
