Demand Investigation and Accountability for Presidential Corruption and Abuse of Power

To: Rep. Ciscomani, Sen. Kelly, Sen. Gallego

From: A verified voter in Tucson, AZ

March 7

I am writing to urge you to take immediate action against President Trump's ongoing abuse of power for personal financial gain. The evidence of corruption has become impossible to ignore, and Congress must fulfill its constitutional duty to provide oversight and accountability. Trump has repeatedly used the presidency to enrich himself and his family. He has maintained ownership of his business empire while in office, creating countless opportunities for private companies, billionaires, and foreign governments to curry favor through payments to Trump properties. This represents a fundamental violation of the Emoluments Clause and transforms the White House into a marketplace for influence. I am asking you to forcefully condemn these actions and make clear that using public office for private profit is unacceptable. Your voice matters in setting the standard for what our democracy will tolerate. Beyond condemnation, I need you to conduct thorough investigations into Trump's use of the White House to solicit bribes. These investigations should examine all financial relationships between Trump businesses and entities seeking government favor, including foreign governments that have booked rooms at Trump properties, corporations that have made payments while seeking regulatory relief, and billionaires who have gained access through financial transactions. Trump has also defied federal court orders, weaponized the Department of Justice, and systematically undermined the separation of powers. These actions warrant impeachment. I urge you to support articles of impeachment and work to convict and remove Trump from office for his repeated defiance of the law. Finally, accountability cannot end with Trump. I ask that you pledge to investigate and prosecute any government official who has participated in this administration's illegal actions. Without consequences, these abuses will become precedent for future administrations. Our constitutional system depends on Congress acting as a check on executive power. I am counting on you to defend our democracy.
