I am so demoralized this morning I can hardly get out of bed. A contingent of Democrats (not you!) is helping push the country off the cliff. It is unconscionable and unfathomable, and it is happening under the feckless leadership of Chuck Schumer, who has shown time and again he does not have the skill or disposition to fight authoritarianism, but is comfortable only in the role of the loyal opposition. It is (past) time for Schumer to go. Please work with other sensible colleagues in the caucus and elect a new minority leader, one with courage and vision, one who will put the needs of the American people first and who has the grit to stand up to fascism.
