No Ones above the Law: Oppose weakening the International Court in the US.
To: Sen. Cornyn, Rep. Self, Sen. Cruz
From: A constituent in Wylie, TX
March 11, 2025
I urgently request that you oppose H.R. 1839, which seeks to prevent the International Criminal Court (ICC) from using facilities in the United States. Obstructing the ICC's ability to operate freely undermines international accountability for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide. The United States should uphold its commitment to global justice and human rights by allowing the ICC unimpeded access. This bill threatens to weaken a crucial institution established to prosecute the gravest atrocities. Preserving the ICC's authority to investigate and try such cases worldwide is a moral imperative. I implore you to defend the ICC's mandate by rejecting this misguided legislation.
