A federal judge has temporarily blocked an administration policy requiring members of Congress to submit requests before visiting and inspecting ICE detention facilities. You need to take advantage of this window to do the necessary oversight while it remains open. Rep. Jimmy Gomez (D-CA) made an unannounced visit immediately. Amnesty International is reporting torture and human rights violations in ICE facilities. I urge you to make unannounced inspection visits to ICE detention and processing centers without delay.
