An Open Letter

To: Sen. Lee, Sen. Curtis, Rep. Kennedy

From: A constituent in Holladay, UT

September 11

The UN announced that we are officially entering "global water bankruptcy", and that over the next few years we will start running out of clean drinking, washing, and culinary water. Data centers don't need water-cooled systems, they're just the cheapest option, and since the data centers are owned by billionaires they can afford a system that doesn't use such a vital and dwindling resource. Human lives must come before profits or we are all doomed, and our government is supposed to stand between us and capitalistic existential threats to our survival. Stop data centers from using water, and figure out how to slow down the looming water crisis.
