TX: Hold Paxton accountable, impeach for corruption & not performing duties

To: Gov. Abbott, Lt. Gov. Patrick, Rep. Flores, Sen. Zaffirini

From: A verified voter in Austin, TX

February 4

Ken Paxton has repeatedly demonstrated that he is unfit to serve as Texas Attorney General. His history of corruption, abuse of power, and legal battles have distracted from the real issues impacting Texans. The House General Investigating Committee presented strong evidence that Paxton misused his office to benefit a political donor, Nate Paul, who has since pleaded guilty to federal charges. Paxton’s actions have severely damaged public trust, and his continued tenure in office reflects poorly on the integrity of Texas leadership. Instead of focusing on issues that matter to Texans—like healthcare access, education, and protecting vulnerable communities—Paxton has prioritized politically motivated lawsuits. He has targeted doctors providing necessary healthcare to transgender youth, despite overwhelming evidence that such care improves mental health outcomes. He has also gone after a Catholic charity in El Paso for providing humanitarian aid, criminalizing efforts to assist those in need. These lawsuits are a waste of taxpayer resources and do nothing to improve the lives of Texans. Texas deserves an Attorney General who upholds the law and serves the people, not someone who abuses their position for personal and political gain. I urge you to take action to remove Ken Paxton from office. His continued presence as Attorney General is a disservice to the people of Texas, and it is time to restore integrity to the office.
