Gender Affirming Care For Adults is important. Gender affirming care for minors, that is something that should be left to families and doctors to decide. I want to see these provisions in the budget reconciliation especially the ones about adults and gender affirming care, be fought tooth and nail and stopped in their tracks. I myself have just gotten into the process of getting surgical treatment for my gender dysphoria in California, having just moved here, that was a motivating factor. I know firsthand several trans people who need to get these things done. I do not want to be fed to the private insurance wolves. Please consider working with your colleagues and reaching across the political spectrum in the democratic and republican party to look for ways that we can win this fight. I firmly believe this has become a states right issue and a political matter, not a budget issue.
