There exists a lot of confusion amongst US Citizens on if we are allowed to openly discuss existing laws without retribution from President Donald Trump. We all know the laws surrounding the concept of military personnel being able to “disobey an unlawful order,” but are we allowed to exercise our 1st amendment rights and publicly discuss these existing laws without President Trump (who is acting in the role of federal government) destroying our reputations and lives? I understand as very partisan Republicans, our Oklahoma delegation won’t uphold the Oklahoma Standard in this instance, despite every individual delegate running on the Oklahoma standard for decades, and come out in defense of leaders in Washington, who have served honorably in the military, citing commonly known laws and exercising their 1st amendment rights. I understand perhaps you didn’t enjoy the video these leaders released, yet there are plenty of content released that other folks do not enjoy yet you will gladly defend that material. We all need some clarification surrounding which rights the President of the United States will allow us to enjoy without retribution when his feelings get hurt.
