The Due Process Clause, found in both the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, ensures fundamental rights to all people by prohibiting the federal and state governments from depriving individuals of “life, liberty, or property” without due process of law. This means the government must follow fair legal procedures before taking action against an individual. This right is given to ALL people, including those currently held in El Salvador. If this right is violated, which it is right now, we are ALL in danger. The actions of the current administration are illegal and unconstitutional, and it is the responsibility of ALL of us to oppose the tyrants. On this day, the 250th anniversary of Paul Revere’s famous ride, I BEG you to stop the madness. Please. This evil cannot be tolerated. I cannot believe that you cannot see this evil. I PROMISE that I will vote against you, and will stand WITH you only if I see actual evidence that you are actually trying to help our people.
