I I understand that the House Republicans have rejected the big beautiful bill that President Trump wants because it doesn’t cut Medicaid enough. I don’t like that bill, but for different reasons, the cuts will be devastating to rule Missouri towns and hospitals and nursing homes. I worked in rural hospital before I retired and we had a large number of Medicaid patients that we’re having babies or were coming from local nursing homes. It infuriates me that Republicans want to cut services to the poorest and frailest among us so that they can give huge tax cuts to billionaires. Maybe you don’t think so but sooner or later people are going to figure out that all you are doing is helping billionaires and doing things that hurt average citizens as well as the poor and frail. If the budget needs to be tightened, then start with defense budget and look harshly at the huge tax cuts that go preponderantly to the richest among us.
