RAISE POINTS OF ORDER: Challenge all sections removed by Parliamentarian.
To: Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff
From: A constituent in Santa Barbara, CA
June 29
senate_both I write to URGENTLY request that you raise a point of order on Section 71114 of the budget bill, The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, which reintroduces language banning federal Medicaid and CHIP funding for gender-affirming care for people of all ages.
In fact, I request that you raise a point of order and loudly and defiantly vote against every provision of the bill that was originally struck by the Parliamentarian.
Your GOP colleagues are confident that you will not have the moral fortitude or good judgement to stand by your constituents and will instead hem, haw, and try to choose a middle ground that appeases tech billionaires and oligarchs, as if you still believe the fiction that you can capture some elusive moderate conservative populace without losing the actual left.
Do whatever you need to within congressional means to stop this bill. Elect someone to raise a point of order on each and every single segment of it and then vote it down if you must.
No to the AI-regulation restrictions. No to the medicaid cuts. No to the inflated ICE budget.
This is, once again, your chance to stand up. Please, implore your colleagues to stop letting us all down.
