Please support the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act. The outrageous disproportion of CEOs' pay to their average employee's pay is a breeding ground for resentment, disillusionment and anger. That's just the right conditions for a malignant demagogue to exploit. By collecting tax on corporations that reward CEOs more fabulously than anyone can possibly deserve, perhaps we can encourage corporate boards to hire ex ecutives with more on their minds than hoisting the stock price. And if not, at least the Treasury will collect some of the profits. That's revenue we can use to rebuild the social safety net. The American people deserve a share of the prosperity they are creating.
