On April 25, three U.S. citizen children from two families were forcibly removed from Louisiana by Immigration and Customs Enforcement after being detained during routine check-ins. One of them — a four-year-old with Stage 4 cancer — was expelled without medication, without access to doctors, and without any opportunity to assert their rights. History will not be kind to a leader who weaponizes immigration enforcement against American children — especially those fighting for their lives. It is an unspeakable cruelty, and a betrayal of our nation’s most basic values, for a president to permit the deportation of a gravely ill child without due process or medical care.
