Vote against the CR or we are dead. It enables Trump to halt lawsuits challenging his actions by imposing sequestrations on the judiciary. If it passes, Congress and the courts are neutered, and democracy is dead. It is fitting that the cloture vote is coming 53 days into Trump’s tenure - exactly the same number of days into Hitler’s tenure as the date in which the Reichstag neutered itself by passing the Enabling Act. There it took arrests of deputies for the act to pass. Here it merely takes cowardly Democratic Senators, especially the dynamic duo from New York.
