Impeach Trump Under Article II Section 4 for Incapacity and Constitutional Violations
To: Sen. Moreno, Rep. Joyce, Sen. Husted
From: A constituent in Willoughby, OH
April 19
I'm calling on you to initiate impeachment proceedings against President Trump under Article II, Section 4 of the Constitution. His recent behavior demonstrates he is no longer capable of fulfilling his duties as commander in chief, and his administration has enabled this dangerous deterioration.
Trump's late-night posting on Truth Social shows a president in crisis. He has attacked Pope Leo XIV, presented himself as Jesus Christ, and posted obsessively into the early morning hours while U.S. forces have been at war for nearly six weeks. His Iran campaign collapsed, the economy is declining, and his approval ratings have plummeted. Yet he spends his time in what appears to be an emotional breakdown rather than governing.
This is not about politics. This is about a president who controls America's nuclear arsenal while displaying signs of severe distress. China is helping Iran rearm. Economic problems are mounting. We cannot afford a commander in chief who is more focused on social media meltdowns than national security.
His cabinet and senior officials have violated their oaths by prioritizing loyalty to Trump over their constitutional duties. They are complicit in allowing an incapacitated president to remain in office during wartime. Impeach, convict, and remove Trump and those who enabled him. The Constitution demands it.
