The Pentagon has spoken, and according to their numbers the first week of war against Iran blew an 11.3 billion dollar hole in our nation's budget. That estimate is just for the first week. If this bombing campaign continues, the cost of munitions could reach $760 Million a day, according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies. - Imagine if those dollars were paying for construction of solar panels and wind farms at home rather than destruction abroad. Between the growth in jobs and decrease in electric bills, energy affordability would be within reach for most of America. That would be truly great! - Instead, costs are rising due to reckless warfare. Some have been forced to pay the ultimate price. More than 100 civilians were killed on the first day of air strikes. Many of them were children at the Shajareh Tayyebeh elementary school in Minab. Lashing out against Iran has proven to be government waste at its worst. - Reckless warfare is reckless spending, and Congress has a Constitutional obligation to stop it. Taxpayers need you to reclaim your authority under the War Powers Act and vote for an immediate end to hostilities against the Iranian people. At this time, there can be no higher priority for the House and Senate. I do not say that lightly.
