Bring the House Into Session
To: Rep. Fitzpatrick
From: A verified voter in Hatfield, PA
October 29
Dear Representative Fitzpatrick,
I am writing as your constituent in Pennsylvania’s 1st Congressional District to express serious concern regarding the leadership of Mike Johnson in his role as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
The House has a vital duty to meet in session and conduct the people’s business—yet it appears that under Speaker Johnson’s leadership, the House is not being brought back into session to address urgent legislative responsibilities.
If the Speaker will not ensure that the House reconvenes promptly and restores its role of governance, I respectfully urge you to support a motion to vacate the chair and vote to remove him from the position of Speaker. The American people cannot wait while major issues—budgetary, humanitarian, domestic, and international—go unaddressed.
The Speaker’s first obligation is to the institution of the House and to the Constitution, not to political convenience.
As your constituent, I ask you to stand up for accountability, transparency, and democratic principles by voting to remove Speaker Johnson if he refuses to bring the House back into session without further delay.
Thank you for your service, and I look forward to knowing your position on this important matter.
