Vote YES on Sen. Sanders’s JRDs to Block Offensive Arms to Israel
To: Sen. Johnson, Sen. Baldwin
From: A verified voter in La Crosse, WI
July 30
As your constituent and a Jewish American, I urge you to support Senator Sanders’ Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (JRDs) under the Arms Export Control Act (AECA), to stop the proposed U.S. arms sales to Israel.
S.J.Res.34 – To prohibit the U.S.-taxpayer financed $675.7 million sale of 201 MK 83 1,000-pound bombs; 4,799 BLU-110A/B General Purpose 1,000-pound bombs; 1,500 Joint Direct Attack Munition (JDAM) guidance kits for MK 83 bombs; 3,500 JDAM guidance kits for MK 83 bombs; and related logistics and technical support services.
S.J.Res.41 – To prohibit the sale of tens of thousands of fully automatic assault rifles.
These sales include offensive weapons that have been connected to tens of thousands of civilian deaths and atrocities in Gaza and the occupied West Bank. The sale of such weapons violate the criteria of the AECA and the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.
Join your colleagues by voting 'yes' on Sen. Sanders’ JRDs.
Thank you.
