Investigate and Halt Elon Musk’s Unauthorized Access to Sensitive Data

To: Sen. Moreno, Sen. Husted, Rep. Joyce

From: A constituent in Chesterland, OH

February 6

I am writing to express my grave concerns regarding Elon Musk’s unprecedented access to sensitive government data through his role at the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). As your constituent, I am deeply troubled by recent developments that show DOGE has gained access to highly sensitive Treasury payment systems and personal data of millions of Americans. The scope of this access includes Social Security information, Medicare data, and other critical government databases containing private citizen information. This level of access to personal data by an unelected private citizen and his team raises serious privacy and security concerns. Of particular concern is that DOGE officials have reportedly transferred data to commercial servers without proper vetting for security and privacy requirements. Furthermore, there are questions about potential conflicts of interest given Mr. Musk’s extensive business operations, including significant interests in companies like Tesla, SpaceX, and X. I urge you to: 1. Demand immediate oversight hearings on DOGE’s access to government systems 2. Support legislation to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive government databases 3. Call for an investigation into potential privacy law violations 4. Ensure proper security clearance protocols are being followed The integrity of our government systems and the privacy of American citizens must be protected. I request your immediate attention to this matter and look forward to hearing what specific actions you will take to address these concerns.
