I am writing as a concerned constituent and as a supporter of hardworking public servants to urge you to oppose the "One Big Beautiful Bill" recently passed by the House of Representatives. This legislation threatens the livelihoods and well-being of millions of Americans—including postal employees and federal workers who dedicate their lives to serving the public. Many of these workers rely on Medicaid or other support programs for themselves and their families. Imposing work requirements and new eligibility hurdles could cause unjust harm, despite their full-time commitments and irregular shifts that often go unrecognized in federal policy. Furthermore, the bill’s dramatic expansion of tax breaks for the wealthiest individuals and corporations, while risking over $2.5 trillion in new national debt, puts future funding for federal employee benefits, pensions, and job stability in jeopardy. As someone who believes in a strong and fair public sector, I am deeply concerned that this legislation undermines both the economic security of federal workers and the services they provide to the public. Federal and postal workers deserve policies that respect their contributions, not ones that sideline them in favor of special interests. I urge you to vote against this bill and to support legislation that upholds the dignity of public service and protects working families.
