Sign Sen Van Hollens letter on the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation's war crimes

To: Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff

From: A constituent in Sacramento, CA

July 30

At this moment not only are people in Gaza dying of starvation, but they are also being killed when trying to access aid from the inadequate, unlicensed, and militarized Gaza Humanitarian Foundation. This has been well documented by eye witnesses on the ground. The deaths at GHF aid distribution sites are in the hundreds. Therefore, I am disappointed to not see the Senator's signature on Sen. Chris Van Hollen's July 27th letter to Sec of State Rubio. For anyone with any kind of humanity left in them, it is clear that Israel's militarized, concentrated distribution of absurdly inadequate food aid in Gaza is a trap that only results in civilian deaths both by gun and by famine. Sen Van Hollen has done the work to interview GHF contractor and US Army veteran Anthony Aguilar on the war crimes he witnessed in Gaza at the hands of the GHF, and Sen Van Hollen has done the work to outline the many failings in U.S. funding of the GHF. The people going hungry today and watching their children waste away know that they are in a trap designed to hasten genocide. The UN has the training, resources, experience, and neutrality to adequately feed the people of Gaza. US support must be shifted from a flawed, dangerous, opaque, and inadequate organization to the trusted UN systems sitting at the ready. Please stand up for human rights and sign on to this letter alongside Senators Van Hollen, Schatz, Sanders, Smith, Heinrich, Kaine, Baldwin, Markey, Duckworth, Durbin, Merkley, Warren, Murray, Hirono, Klobuchar, Alsobrooks, Warnock, Lujan, Ossoff, and Murphy.
