Save our Public Lands, don’t sell out. No BBB

To: Sen. Schiff, Rep. Khanna, Sen. Padilla

June 21

I urge you to vote against the "Big Beautiful Bill." This legislation contains concerning provisions that threaten our nation's public lands and financial well-being. Its broad scope and vague language raise significant red flags for responsible governance. Specifically, I am deeply concerned by the sections mandating the sale of public lands. These lands are invaluable national assets, providing critical habitats, recreational opportunities, and natural resources for all Americans. Their forced sale would be an irreversible loss, prioritizing short-term financial gain over long-term public benefit and environmental stewardship. These lands ARE what makes America “great”. Such a mandate sets a dangerous precedent, undermining the very concept of public ownership and conservation. I believe in protecting these cherished landscapes for future generations, not selling them off. I implore you to consider the lasting negative impacts of this provision. I ask that you vote no on the "Big Beautiful Bill." Protect our public lands and ensure responsible fiscal policy.
