Stop Musk's overreach, protect citizens and revoke access

To: Rep. Ciscomani, Sen. Gallego, Sen. Kelly

From: A verified voter in Tucson, AZ

April 3

The actions of Elon Musk and his DOGE organization represent a blatant overreach of undue influence by an unelected private citizen over the functioning of the federal government. It is unacceptable for Musk to gain unauthorized access to sensitive data systems containing personal information of millions of Americans, as well as the ability to control trillions in government payments. This endangers national security and the privacy of citizens. Musk's installation of loyalists in key agencies like the OPM and GSA, locking out career personnel, is an abuse of power that undermines the nonpartisan civil service. His attempts to offer bogus buyouts are discrimination against dedicated public servants. This hostile corporate takeover of government operations cannot be allowed to continue unchallenged. Forceful actions must be taken to revoke Musk's unlawful access, remove his personnel from positions of authority, and investigate the full scope of DOGE's activities through rigorous oversight. Any cooperation with or legitimization of this rogue entity must cease immediately. Work in Congress should be suspended until this crisis is resolved and the constitutional separation of corporate interests and government is restored. The American people demand accountability to preserve our democratic institutions.
