I am extremely concerned that none of my elected officials have spoken out against the illegal, unconstitutional actions by federal immigration enforcement that are infringing on fundamental rights, including the Second, Fourth, and Fourteenth Amendments. Federal agents have now fatally shot Alex Pretti, a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and ICU nurse, during an enforcement operation in Minneapolis—an incident that has raised serious questions about excessive force, lack of transparency, and constitutional overreach.
Silence from my representatives on violations of due process, equal protection, and protections against unreasonable search and seizure is unacceptable. If you truly stand for the Constitution, you must explicitly condemn these actions, push for independent oversight and investigations, and uphold the rights guaranteed to every American.
Let me be clear: continuing to sit quietly while these abuses occur is choosing constitutional disregard over constitutional defense. If you refuse to act, you should not expect my vote in the next election. Representatives who side with lawlessness and refuse to uphold their oath will lose their seats and be held accountable at the ballot box.
