Please Support H.R. 9939

To: Sen. Schmitt, Sen. Hawley, Rep. Bell

From: A constituent in Saint Louis, MO

August 2

I am writing asking you to support H.R. 9939, the No AI Data Centers on Federal Lands Act. Congress must take action now to stop the Trump administration from handing over federal land to private developers for data centers. These lands belong to the people, not Big Tech and corporations who blatantly disregard the environmental and livability impacts their hyper scale data centers have. They consume massive amounts of energy and water, often relying on non-renewable sources; in fact, 7 in 10 Americans oppose the local construction of data centers because they understand the incredible risks associated with their operation. Our public lands should be protected, not polluted and destroyed so that few can profit. Thank you for your time and consideration.
