I am deeply appalled that you would pitifully state Kansans will pay more for this abomination of a war with Iran, saying “freedom isn’t free”. Since this past year, I have been paying more for health insurance, utilities, tariffs, auto insurance and probably more on taxes coming up. Americans are getting sick and tired of paying more things that aren’t benefiting us. The gall that you have to act like royalty, to go against your own voters endorsing another foreign intervention offends Kansans across the state. If this war is so vital to US freedom, resign from the senate and re-enlist. You want people making sacrifices? How about start with dropping your freebie health insurance, your retirement fund, sign up at the health insurance exchange on your dime, and all of the other perks we as voters pay for you to have. Otherwise, quit telling me to give up my future for another war I, nor did most Americans ask for when you won’t do the same. As son of a long-line of patriots who have served this nation, there is nothing worth killing and being killed over in Iran for. Yes, the Iran dictatorship and the treatment of its citizens is heartbreaking. Whats also heartbreaking is the Kansas legislature screwing families of children with special needs, year after year, with no relief or the mass layoffs of the American workforce these past years. If you continue to support this horrible war, I suggest you brush up on your resume and check some job listings, because after this November you will not have the honor and privilege of serving Kansas.
