By repeatedly greenlighting the President's agenda without full briefing or reasoning, the Court enables an authoritarian agenda that disregards democratic norms and constitutional constraints. This unchecked politicization of the nation's highest court represents an existential threat to our system of checks and balances. Urgent action is needed to restore judicial independence and the Court's role as a neutral arbiter of the law, not a rubber stamp for any president's unlawful overreach. Reforms to increase transparency around the shadow docket and implement binding ethics rules for justices must be undertaken immediately to halt the Court's dangerous capitulation to any one branch or party's interests over the constitution and the will of the people.
