Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas.
DJT continues his perplexing we’ll never have to vote again after November 2024 tour.
On Monday, Laura Ingraham on Fox News gave him a chance to walk his rhetoric back. Instead, he said: “I said, vote for me, you’re not going to have to do it ever again. It’s true.”
“Don’t worry about the future. You have to vote on November 5. After that, you don’t have to worry about voting anymore. I don’t care, because we’re going to fix it. The country will be fixed and we won’t even need your vote anymore, because frankly we will have such love, if you don’t want to vote anymore, that’s OK.”
Other than laughing these comments off as he’s just joking, your party has not addressed the substance of this radical language.
Do you approve of this language coming from a presidential candidate? Any presidential candidate? Any elected official?
This is not the language of a leader. Except maybe in Venezuela. Or Hungary. Or Russia. Or South Korea. Or…you get the gist.
P.S. Donald Trump does not joke.
