Block Third Reconciliation Bill and Protect Healthcare

To: Sen. Van Hollen, Sen. Alsobrooks, Rep. Elfreth

From: A verified voter in Arnold, MD

May 8

Vote no on any reconciliation bill that cuts healthcare to fund tax breaks for the wealthy and corporations. Republicans are working on a third reconciliation package that would gut healthcare programs to pay for Pentagon spending increases and more tax cuts for those who need them least. This is a direct transfer of resources from families who depend on healthcare coverage to billionaires and defense contractors. My family's access to medical care should not be sacrificed so corporations can pad their profits. Healthcare cuts will force people to choose between filling prescriptions and paying rent, between doctor visits and groceries. I need you to publicly oppose this bill and work to stop it from reaching a vote. If it does come to the floor, vote no. The people in this district sent you to represent our interests, not to rubber-stamp policies that make us sicker and poorer while enriching the already wealthy.
