We urge you to take decisive action to uphold the Constitution and rein in executive overreach. Failure to address this contempt of court will only enable further erosion of the fragile balance of power among the three branches of government. As representatives sworn to preserve and protect the Constitution, it is your solemn duty to defend it against encroachments by any branch, including the executive. The American people expect Congress to serve as a bulwark against any attempts to accumulate excessive power or circumvent the system of checks and balances so painstakingly established by the Framers.
