If You Won’t Risk Anything, Step Aside

To: Rep. Jacobs, Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff

From: A constituent in San Diego, CA

September 18

Jimmy Kimmel was suspended for calling Charlie Kirk an asshole. Meanwhile, right-wing officials and media are openly calling for mass violence—executions, military crackdowns on civilians, political purges. They’re escalating. And you’re still playing by the old rules. This is fascism. It’s here. Right now. I’m not asking you to issue statements. I’m demanding that you: • Obstruct everything until this assault on speech, truth, and safety is addressed. • Introduce articles of impeachment. • Shut down hearings. Walk out. Protest. Refuse normal business. • Put yourself physically, publicly in the way of fascism. • Risk something. You were not elected to “go along.” You were elected to fight for people like me. That means standing in the line of fire, not managing your optics. If you’re unwilling to do that—to take real risks with your position, your power, your body—then step aside and make room for someone who will. Do something. Now.
