No on Confirming Dr. Means

To: Sen. Bennet, Sen. Hickenlooper

From: A constituent in Littleton, CO

February 26

Don’t confirm Dr. Casey Means as Surgeon General. She let her medical license lapse 2 years. She has an alternative wellness company making hundreds of thousands of dollars. All indications that her fix for our health care problems is to turn away from traditional medicine. This will not address cost or access. Alternative medicine does have a place in our healthcare system and needs to be integrated in a scientific and holistic fashion. Traditional medicine does have a proven track record and is widely adopted where it is available and accessible. We don’t need someone who may only be listening to 20% of our total population as Surgeon General.
