Let me be perfectly clear, there can be no further funding to Customs & Border Protection (CBP) or Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) unless or until the administration and the Department of Homeland Security, cease and desist from their abusive and likely illegal actions in the states. They are openly assaulting and arresting citizens for doing no more than invoking their First Amendment rights to peacefully protest. It is ICE’s use of flash-bangs and teargas which is creating the illusion of violent protest, FULL STOP. Should any bill come to a vote, which provides any additional to CBP or ICE, please vote ‘no’ until such time as the rights of the citizenry are fully restored. As my representative, I am sincerely asking that you speak out publicly in support of the First Amendment. Show the public and this citizen that you are working in favor of the public. Show some backbone and stand-up for the people. Please write back soon and let me know your position on the right of the people to peacefully protest and decent.
