Oppose illegitimate and hostile use of OPM emails

To: Sen. Husted, Rep. Rulli, Sen. Moreno

From: A constituent in Alliance, OH

January 29, 2025

Please stand up to oppose the misleading and hostile emails sent to federal workers to try to pressure them to “RESIGN”. These were composed and sent from an Office of Personnel Management (OPM) email address by a non-federal-employee, just a private citizen without any such clearance or knowledge of the system. None of the language in the emails carry the approval of OPM, and much of it is inconsistent with contract law. This is likely to become a class action lawsuit that will cost taxpayers billions, and the expenses will only mount if these childlike stunts aren’t stopped. As our elected representatives in Congress you have the responsibility of oversight over our finances. If my taxes go up and my stocks go down as a result of this mayhem, I will hold YOU responsible to the point of being willing to vote you out as soon as possible. Please speak up on behalf of common sense and reason, NOW.
