I am calling to urge you to save the Federal Emergency Management Agency from Trump and Musk’s devastation. They need to prevent FEMA from being eliminated and make the White House stop keeping disaster aid from people who need it. We are seeing more and more natural disasters with massive recovery bills, costing us billions. State and local governments just can’t afford to deal with that kind of emergency without FEMA. They call it efficiency, but what they mean is they’re abandoning Americans in their darkest hours. And all to save money for billionaire tax cuts and deporting hairdressers to El Salvador without due process! Right now this White House is actively getting in the way of disaster relief in Washington and North Carolina and Arkansas. Next time, it might be us. California needs to step up, get that aid unblocked and keep FEMA working for us.
