Investigate Trump's UFC White House Event as Corrupt Self-Dealing

To: Sen. Padilla, Sen. Schiff, Rep. Liccardo

From: A constituent in Menlo Park, CA

June 15

You need to investigate the UFC event held on the White House South Lawn on June 14th for what it plainly is: corruption. Trump holds significant stock in TKO, UFC's parent company, and his administration just hosted a for-profit private sporting event on federal parkland where VIP seats sold for up to $1.5 million. That is the President of the United States using public property to enrich himself. The Public Integrity Project filed an emergency federal lawsuit calling it out before the event even happened. This isn't a gray area. A 92-foot steel cage on the South Lawn, fighters emerging from the Oval Office, and millions of dollars changing hands — all while Trump profits from the parent company. Commercializing federal land for personal financial gain is exactly what ethics laws exist to prevent. Demand a full investigation, refer this to the relevant oversight committees, and make clear that no president gets to turn the White House into a revenue stream.
