Vote No on WV SB 204

To: Gov. Morrisey, Sen. Rose, Del. Stephens, Sen. Clements

From: A verified voter in Moundsville, WV

February 19

I am contacting you today to express my concern over the harm Senate Bill 204 will do to our communities. WV has one of the highest rates of addiction in the nation. Our own Attorney General's website states "The drug epidemic in this state knows no socioeconomic or geographic boundaries and continues to affect West Virginians from all walks of life." This is important to me because: -my Christian faith calls me to love and support my neighbor, especially in times of trouble. -I have experienced addiction in my family/friends and know how painful and traumatic it can be -West Virginians support one another, regardless of our location. We are all one community, one family. By closing treatment centers and outlawing methadone prescriptions, we are condemning hundreds, if not thousands, of our fellow West Virginians to death by illegal drugs and tragic addiction. I ask that you support the recovery needs of our neighbors in battling addiction. Addiction recovery cannot occur without community support. Please vote no on SB 204. Thank you for your time. I appreciate you listening to my concerns about this vitally important matter to all in WV.
