I am writing regarding your decision to initiate war with Iran — a decision that has placed American lives, global stability, and our constitutional principles at serious risk. In 2011, you said: “Our president will start a war with Iran because he has absolutely no ability to negotiate. He’s weak and he’s ineffective. So the only way he figures that he’s going to get re-elected, and as sure as you're sitting there, is to start a war with Iran.” Those were your words. You defined starting a war with Iran as the act of a leader who is weak and ineffective — someone incapable of negotiation, incapable of strength through diplomacy, and incapable of achieving results without resorting to force. Now, you have started a war with Iran. By your own definition, this is the mark of weak and ineffective leadership. Strength is not measured by launching missiles. Strength is measured by restraint, by strategic discipline, and by the ability to negotiate without plunging the nation into conflict. A leader who turns to war instead of negotiation demonstrates not power, but weakness. Not effectiveness, but failure. This war exposes what you once warned about: an inability to negotiate and an impulse to escalate rather than resolve. That is not strength. That is weakness. It is not effective leadership. It is ineffective governance with potentially devastating consequences. At a time when Americans face economic strain, child hunger, and urgent domestic challenges, choosing war over diplomacy reflects misplaced priorities and ineffective stewardship of both lives and taxpayer dollars.
