I wrote to you concerning the strikes on boats in the Caribbean. You response on 23 September 2025 is not supported by facts. If you have those facts, release them. Examples of facts needed, proof there are drugs on the boats, names of persons killed, proof that boats ~2,000 miles away could actually reach the shores of the US. Also, please provide the congressional authority to KILL people at will. Why isn’t the Coast Guard interdicting these persons? Your response, “Thank you for contacting me to express your concerns about the military strikes against narcotraffickers in the Caribbean. I value your input, and I appreciate the opportunity to respond. On two separate occasions, the U.S. military conducted precision strikes on drug traffickers attempting to bring illegal narcotics into the United States. As Commander-in-Chief, President Trump has the constitutional authority and responsibility to make difficult decisions to safeguard our nation’s security and interests. I support the need for decisive and strong leadership in matters of national defense. I believe that using lethal force must be reserved for threats to our homeland and to our national interest. Given the damage that fentanyl and drug trafficking has had on our communities, we must be clear-eyed about the dangers of allowing these dangerous substances to continue to flow into our country. As a member of both the Senate Armed Services and Judiciary Committees, I take my obligation to assess these situations, both for their legality and their impact on our security, very seriously.” If you took this seriously, you’d have given the President legal authority to kill civilians with Use of Force Authorization. If you were serious, you’d provide the American people the statistics on amount of drugs and names of those narco personnel. I’d like a response with WHEN this information will be provided and under WHAT authority the President is killing people.
