What exactly are you people doing besides watching the cost of living explode while average Americans drown? Under Trump, prices on basic goods, housing, insurance, groceries, and utilities have continued climbing while Republicans once again hand out tax cuts and favors to corporations and wealthy donors who already own half the country. Working people are paying more for everything while billionaires get richer off “economic policy” that never helps the people actually doing the work. We are sick of hearing about “strong markets” while regular Americans can barely afford eggs, rent, child care, gas, or a doctor’s visit. The facts are not complicated: -Republicans consistently push tax cuts for the rich and corporations while exploding the deficit. -Republican administrations repeatedly gut regulations that protect workers, consumers, and wages. -Every time Republicans take power, they promise prosperity and deliver higher costs, weaker worker protections, and more wealth concentrated at the top. -Democrats inherit economic disasters, stabilize them, then Republicans come back and pretend the recovery they inherited was their accomplishment. Americans remember reality. People remember cheaper groceries under Biden’s recovery years after COVID supply chain shocks eased. People remember lower unemployment. People remember infrastructure actually being invested in instead of endless culture war garbage and billionaire worship. Now we’re back to corporate favoritism, tariff stupidity that raises prices on consumers, and economic policies designed by rich people who will never worry about paying rent in their lives. Tariffs are taxes on Americans. Corporations pass costs directly to us. That means higher prices at the store, higher prices online, higher prices for materials, electronics, cars, and everyday necessities. You know this. Economists know this. Working people feel it every single day. Meanwhile Congress sits around arguing about nonsense while entire generations are locked out of home ownership and crushed by debt. Do your jobs. Stop governing for hedge funds and donors. Stop pretending stock prices are the same thing as economic health. Stop protecting corporations making record profits while families ration groceries. Americans are exhausted from being sacrificed so wealthy people can squeeze out another percentage point of profit. Enough!
